Hi all,

I'm looking to connect with some permaculture folks in my area. I live in Providence, RI and I am really interested in trying to create a business using permaculture principles. I'd really like to bounce my ideas off of some folks to see if they think the business is feasible or not. I would also love for any of you to help out if you're willing which is why I'm looking to connect more locally at this point. If you have taken any permaculture design courses, etc., I'd love to see if we can exercise your skills. Regardless I'd love to connect to some like-minded individuals and have good, constructive conversations. Always looking to learn more about growing food and of course teach as well if I can. I hope to hear from some locals!

Thank you very much,
Jake

Hi Jake!  Are you still looking to connect with other folks in Rhode Island that are interested in permaculture?  Figured I'd ask first, since your post is from a year ago!

Hey Kristina:

I just wanted to welcome you to Permies and see if you ever heard from Jake.
I'm located about halfway between you two and always enjoy meeting new people & talking permaculture.

Feel free to send me a PM if you (or any other local permies) are interested in chatting.

cheers!
-Pete

Hi everyone!

I'd like to introduce myself.  I'm new to this forum (and soooo glad I found it) and I am a permaculture newbie.  I'm in my second year of permaculture gardening.  I currently live in RI and I am fortunate enough to have a small piece of land (2.5 acres) on the CT River in Central CT.  We are currently building a homestead there and will be leaving this amazing state ( bye little Rhody, forever in my heart).  If any of you would like to connect let me know!  I'd love to hear what you all are doing or planning on doing.  I have an education in environmental science, however as I stated, I am new to the permaculture realm and would love to meet people in the area to share ideas, plants, and anything else permaculture related.

Hello, I just moved to southeast Massachusetts with my partner from NYC. We have two acres of land and I am itching to get started on building a permaculture environment for our new home. I am very new and would appreciate the opportunity to speak to someone directly about the best way to start working with the land. For what it's worth, I grew up on a farm as a child so am not completely naive about the time and labor that goes into this kind of work, but would like to set the foundation this spring and summer if possible. Anyone with experience who would be open to a coffee on me would be appreciated. Thanks, R.

I’m in SE MA and just bought my first house on 2.5 acres three years ago. I have been slowly turning my property into a permaculture farm so if you have any questions feel free to ask (I’m not an expert, but I’m good at berating people with information)

I’m in Rhode Island, building my suburban lot into a permaculture mini-farm!  Would be interested in connecting with local folks.
