This is the style I want to start with: https://pyrapod.com/pyrapod8

Yesterday we got the general Sketchup design done in one day (god speed). here is the pic of the desgin and video:

I am in the process of talking to local manufactures - we want the locals get our business orders. DIY or mass produced.

It is fun. And this soap bubble filled greenhouse will be the only one standing out. It will take the whole world by storm!

Great idea.

Have you found solutions for the freezing and leak issues?

I live in 4-5 zone and am very interested in ways to better heat and insulate a 4 season greenhouse.

Please keep posting on this idea...

Sorry Andy, having started the post I focused on the design process and I almost forgot about it until today :-)

Now your questions...

The freezing issue first. There is no problem with frozen bubbles, they seal the air even better. A lot of people tend to think that when bubbles freeze, they burst. No they do not unless they are crashed by physical force. I have a video to prove that:

Five minutes into the video, you will see a clip showing that a soap bubble blown outside will freeze in winter but not burst.

The leak issue... Once the pieces of fabrics are sewed up properly they should not leak.

OK, after answering Andy John's questions in general, I would like to update with "permiers" with what happened after my initial post.

(1) Having finished a full line of designs for backyard use with the help of SolaRoof's inventor Richard Nelson, I have decided to start with the smallest and simplest of all: the BubbleBox. The following was a video I made for this purpose:

Yesterday I have already got confirmation from a local metal fabricator that it is done and I will pick it the metal frame he built for me. This allows me to start with this BubbleBox to build and fine-tune the build of Bubble Generator, the most important part of the whole thing.

(2) I am going to install PyraPOD4 Tall 2 instead of PyraPOD8 in my backyard. The reason is, it is a smaller size, 10 feet by 10 feet, which means that I do not need a permit and this applies to most people out there. It is a tent like structure that is relatively much easier to handle than a larger project. I have a older video for this:

But the updated version looks like this...

This is the version that we are seeking to have it mass produced. Someone in New York have asked us to give him a quote for a 1000 units with which he is going to house his human and animal waste sanitation and compost units inside using black soldier flies (Larvae) in Africa - sanitation is a huge problem there. This is something that is unexpected for Richard and I.

So I may have to change my original plan a bit so that I do both iSAVS sandponices and Larvae sanitation - at least I can feed my fish with Larvae, rather purchasing fish food.

(3) For those who would like to retrofit an existing greenhouse to apply the SolaRoof bubble tech, I have made a video with the inventor showing a simple way to do it - I use the conventional Chinese style passive solar greenhouse as example:

Short version:

Long version (with real data comparison between a conventional greenhouse and SolaRoof greenhouse):

That's it. That explains why I did not follow up with the original post with the initual project. Cheers!

OK, got the metal frame made by a local fabricator for my BubbleBox, with which I am going to build the bubble generator and play with it:

For those who could not wait to see the real test results for the performance of this new type of greenhouse, I have discussed with Richard Nelson, the inventor of SolaRoof. We have decided to release more data concerning SolaRoof R&D and testing. Here is the URL: https://bittypod.net/doku.php?id=solaroof_data_release Simple registration and login needed to view the content. A few charts showing the temperature curves. There is a Master Thesis on a large project in Norway using SolaRoof to do Food2Waste2Food test. Richard Nelson's commentary on this thesis reveals more about the technology and why it is suppressed by many in the past. Richard and I may make a video chatting about these data so that you can learn more.

New post entitled "Solid proof that greenhouses with and without soap liquid foam filling in the double-layer cavity is CRITICAL and makes a huge difference" at this place: https://pyrapod.com/solid-proof-with-without-soap-liquid-foam-filling-is-critical

This is the most extensive case study and comparison post I prepared last night. I spill the beans out with solid data proof!

The above is one-day data in 1994

This is data over a course of one month in 2013

Today is the frame setup day! I have set up a LIVE cam at https://pyrapod.com/live-cams so that anyone can view my greenhouse site in real time, 24/7.

Hey man, loved watching your videos following the development of your project. I also built a soap bubble project in the UK and just made a video describing a few more details that I never included on my site.

It looks like you would benefit from using a different screen material. Check out the materials I tried at the end of the video. We built a generator that produced 3 cubic meters of bubbles using a heavy sports fabric.

Acetylsalicylic acid is aspirin. This could be handy too:
