Hi All;
Get ready ! Summer solstice starts in just over 2 hrs from now!
9:31 mountain time  Is the official start of the longest day of the year!
Whoo hoo     Optimists will say summer is here!
Pessimists will say days are now getting shorter and Winter is coming!

And now some dry and sunny wether, here in holland there is so much rain and still is that I have never experienced.

I ask myself of wind turbines on the sea is a cause, tapping energy from the wind, and yes a lot is tapping energy from the wether system.

Weather runs on wind.

This year the full moon coincides with the solstice!  Here in NE Ohio, St John's wort has been popping its yellow blossoms like clockwork on St John's day, June 21st.  So for us it is a day of foraging. This year we will likely forage early,  because the whole week has been in the mid 90s.  This might be acceptable in dry Arizona,  but it is humid,  steamy and sticky here!

To me it doesn't mean anything personal. But I know 'nature' (plants, animals) are influenced by the lengthening and shortening of days (and nights, the other way round). So it is important to me because in my garden in some plants I see new growth, others start growing fruits and for some it's the contrary, they end their season (rhubarb f.e.).

It looks like the SaintJohnsWort in my garden did not have the same calender ... It's already in full bloom!
I think plants are not that exact, a few days early or late don't make any difference to them.

Can you hear that? That's my theme music. I don't know where it comes from. Check under this tiny ad:
