I have read that poly thread can cut through the linen fabric like a tiny saw, especially after multiple washing. Seems like cotton is the right material, not sure about silk?
Ten days ago my parcel from Lithuania arrived with linen sample packs. I am still excited but apart from making pictures I haven't touched them yet. I have to make an idea what to sew - there are colours and fabrics great for garments, others will end up as napkins or gifts. Not sure yet, I am still in the brainstorming phase! (and with the cold approaching this is not a priority).
