Hey everyone,

My name is Cam. I'm happy to join Permies because it seems like a perfect fit for me. Just over a year ago I learned about the ongoing collapse of industrial civilisation through a few blogs. Now a year later I am focused on learning to live in a low impact way, and with a heavy focus on learning practical skills. My eventual goal is to live on some rural property and have a little homestead. I just stumbled upon the SKIP/PEP info page last night, and it was love at first sight. Finally a way to focus my energy and get stuff done! And get badges at the same time! It's a win-win. Just wanted to give a quick intro before I keep on posting in the PEP section. I'm happy to be here and very excited to learn many useful skills.

Cam, welcome to Permies! Congratulations on your first air badge! The SKIP/PEP program is fantastic, isn't it? It fits perfectly with your goals. I've been fortunate to have my homestead for going on 12 years, and even now, have found working on PEP badges to be a wonderful learning tool. Looking forward to seeing you around the forums!

Thanks Leigh. It's the closest thing to a perfect program for me I know of. Good for you, it's neat to hear the learning hasn't stopped! And I will be around, currently working on a custom fender for my fatbike. I was going to buy one, but then I saw it in the metalworking PEP and thought, why not?

And thanks Jean. Looks like your pretty new here too, looking forward to seeing what you contribute.
