I have an old industrial treadle that I do all my sewing with.
sewingmachine by vwfatmobile, on Flickr

I got it in trade for some roofing work.
It didn't have any bobbins, so I went to the salvage yard
where they had a bin of sewing machines.
With some grinding I got the round bobbins working.
Replaced the rotten top.
It'll chunk chunk chunk right through 6 layers of seatbelts.
It has a "knee powered presser foot lifter".

The first time the needle broke.
I went to a local sewing shop,..
with the old broken needle taped together, all there.
I thought the guy was going to pull his hair out,
he literally grabbed his head.

I went to another place that fixed machines.
He tried to sell me some needles that looked nothing like the original
and asked to see my machine,.. offered me $300 for just the head, ha.

Went to a vacuum cleaner and sewing machine repair place
and they pulled out some Muva 130 needles that looked just like the one I brought in.
No hair pulling, didn't try to sell me something different, no stress.
They worked great.

I wish I had bought more.
Because now I only have a few left and Muva doesn't make needles anymore.
The original taped one says BL I think and maybe 130 or 110
it's awful small writing on a worn needle as you can imagine.

I checked with one site and measured the 2mm shank.
About 34mm to the needle eye.
About 39mm total length.

Are there any more numbers I need and can anyone suggest a good needle?
Without pulling your hair out, ha.

I have forgotten a lot about machine needles though these say for "leather" probably as long as the shank is right any sewing machine needle might work as long as they are for leather.

Your local sewing shop might know if the shank is right,

The vacuum/sewing machine repair shop is gone but the other sewing shop is still there.
I don't think he has much hair left to pull out by now,
didn't have much 15 years ago when I stopped by.

We had a slightly newer singer treadle while I was growing up.  My mother used the needles that fit her Elna in it without a problem.  Since yours is older don't know if the needles are the same size or not.

I did search on ebay and they have most of the Singer brands here: https://www.ebay.com/b/Antique-Sewing-Needles-and-Cases-Sewing-Machine-Needles/156328/bn_7112371861. Just dig bit deeper, and you will find the right one.

I think the 130 just refers to the diameter of the needle.
Here's the chart that helped me figure out the other factors.
http://ismacs.net/needle_and_shank/needle-cross-reference-chart-round-shank.html

For round shank needles anyway.
Important measurements are:
Shank diameter (Mine was 2mm)
length from top of eye to the top of the needle (34mm)
Length to the point. (39mm)
If it wears a scarf. The eye dips in when looked at from the side.  (yes)

According to the cross reference chart
In singer language that's 135x7 135x5
Other language SY1955, DPx5, DPx7

Also the diameter of the needle.
That's where he Muva 130 comes into play.
130 is also known as size 21 I think in singer language.

Here's a place that has them
https://www.vintagesingerparts.com/products/organ-industrial-sewing-machine-needles-standard-point-135x5-135x7-dpx5-dpx7-134r-availabe-in-size-12-14-16-18-19-20-21-22-fits-singer-models-20u-102-107w-107g-112w-112g-134w-135w-138w-143w-153w-154w-167w-167g-191d-212w-591d?variant=17970418384994

Seeing the ad shows that there is some more to concider.
Like if you want a standard point or something more round that won't cut wool.
I believe the R in the 134R part number stands for regular point,..
as in not round.
In the description it's called standard.

Short story;
I was looking for the big spools of thread like in the picture.
Wasn't real sure what I wanted. Making a dacron sailcloth teepee, ha.
Called up a place called threadsusa,. I think.
This lady with a carolina drawl answered.
We figured out what I was looking for and she asked me how many I wanted.
One for the machine and one for the bobbin refill. So 2 spools.
She kinda chuckled.
"OK darlin I'm going to send you a couple samples".
I guess she was probably used to selling cases.
Those 2 spools on top of the machine is what she sent.
No charge.

There will be plenty of time to discuss your objections when and if you return. The cargo is this tiny ad:
