From the BBC; A CRACKER WREATH

1/2 C butter
1.5 C flour your choice
1 T fennel seeds
1 T poppy seeds
Course ground salt
Water
Splash of  milk

Mix the flour butter, salt and seeds. Add water just to hold the dough together. ( 2 or 3 tablespoons)

Roll out VERY THIN.  Brush with milk and prick all over with a fork.

Cut into shapes. ( I used stars once and hearts once..the recipe called for circles of different sizes.

Cover a baking sheet with parchment and arrange the cut outs in a wreath shape stacking as you go.  Leave a hole in the center for dip or cheese when you serve.

Sprinkle top with more seeds and salt
Bake at $350 for 20 min or until dry and lightly browned.  ( my oven took 20 minutes longer soooo.)

* second batch I used a perforated pizza pan; much nicer
* any seeds or combos work..next time I’m trying cracked pepper and dried red pepper with a touch of oatmeal

These smell so buttery!
