At 6 PM I plan to drive to a family dinner with turkey and ham maybe!

Got turkey and ham for dinner.  They gave me all the ham left over, plus stuffing, and biscuits.  I still have to eat ham all the rest is gone.

and Michael, I notice you and I are just about the same distance from Knoxville, I'm to the northeast of the city, and maybe mr Barkley could come too and we could have a little permies meetup when its safe to go out and play again.

We will be meeting with family who are traveling to see us.  They are staying at a nearby cabin and we will be doing some outdoor hiking to remain as socially distant as possible.

Not ideal but fits the season for 2020.

I was just in me Mam and Dads' house giving and recieving and such. Feeling stuffed even though I ate my dinner about 8 hours ago. They got me a few books, if you've not read John Seymour's complete guide to self sufficency I'd highly reccomend it.

Just off back to the house to watch a bit of television after doing a little check of the land, feeding the stock and such, though they've had their Christmas treats. Probably going to bed in two hours, it'll be midnight then for me.

Merry Christmas/Yuletideings.

Hanging out on the couch under a blanket of cats, turning a bunch of unwanted socks into stuffed cat toys (and taking breaks to post online). I talked to my mom earlier, and will go for a walk in about an hour, before it gets dark, and that'll be that.

I've never been big on Christmas, and have spent a lot of perfectly satisfying Christmases like this even in pre-Covid days. But not even having the option to go do anything else is frustrating. Still, it's not bad, and if my current craving for trashy American "Chinese" food persists, I can always get up and make it myself.

The only thing I have in one of my beds is garlic, it did ok with the 10°F and inch of snow.
