I watered my American Hazelnut seedlings before it froze, but it’s been 20 degrees (F) at night and up to 40F during the day here. I haven’t watered them in months, always imagining we would get our typical 0 degrees at any time. If I try to water now and it gets cold, will it hurt my hazelnuts?
I can attempt an answer for you but first I would need a little bit of information like where is your approximate location/region, soil type, rainfall and climate.
But generally my thoughts are to not water in winter, but that is coming from someone who has clay soil in a humid section of the country.
