Hello, we are M and A, a spiritual middle aged couple with plenty of skills and experience to bring to the table.  We are in search of others with land who wish to share and work toward a more self-sufficient and sustainable future.  Whether this an individual with a dream who needs help, or an intentional community seeking to add capable hands, we are prepared to meet the challenge. We are currently living in western North Carolina and feel strongly drawn to the mountains here, it is our desire to find a rural property large enough to comfortably support everyone's needs.  SKILLS: wild foraging, reiki, sound healing, electrical, plumbing, woodworking, carpentry, natural building, mechanical.  We are easy-going musicians\writers\ artists\creators who find inspiration in the quiet calm of nature, and would love to find the people and place we jive with.  If this resonates with you, let's start a dialog!

Hello! My husband and I are middle aged too and are looking to do the exact same thing as you both and in the exact same area! Currently, we are work camping in Texas and hoping to move to Western, NC by March or April. Maybe we can network together and combine energy/resources. We are definitely concerned about the predicted food shortages coming the end of this year and want to get started right away growing food and moving towards a self-sufficient lifestyle. If interested, feel free to message me back. Best wishes!

Hi!  That's great to hear.  We have another couple with whom we are coordinating to begin the land search, hopefully finding something this spring/summer.  We'd love to hear more about you and see if it's something that will work for us all.  Contact me marcusdrak<at Google's mail service>.

Years ago I did and I thought their upfront costs were a bit steep.

I looked into Earthaven and visited a couple times, but like Chastity said, it's not cheap and the community is very loose, everyone does their own thing and there's little actual cooperation.  It's great for what it is, if that's your thing, but we're looking for something different.

I am a single female looking for friends to help me care for 10 beautiful acres in franklin county VA.  The property has mountain streams and many springs. I have already built raised beds, a greenhouse, have chickens, bees, rabbits.   I just can't do it alone.  Would love to talk to anyone willing to relocate and help out.

Hi!  I just bought a property in northeastern Arizona.
I'm looking for likeminded people to help with creating a Homestead here.  It's about 20 minutes east of Show Low, Arizona.  We are off grid using Solar and Propane, a Rocket Mass Heater and built a Cherokee Fire Pit.
Meditation, Harmonic Healing, Herbology, Yoga and Shiatsu are a few of the healing modalities that I practice.
Also am a singer/songwriter.
Right now I have 2 chickens and wanting to build a small pond to raise a couple Ducks and a veggie garden.
Please reply if interested in joining us.  Athena

I am building a permaculture farmstead on the Big Island of Hawaii (east side).  And am seeking someone or couple to stay on a work trade (month to month).  It's not a community at my place but there are many intentional communities established close by that have vacancies if you'de like to check them out after.  This is an awesome opportunity for someone who to work as an apprentice in permaculture for the summer and get then check out the B.I..

No prison can hold Chairface Chippendale. And on a totally different topic ... my stuff:
Switching from electric heat to a rocket mass heater reduces your carbon footprint as much as parking 7 cars
