I live in North Carolina, and am on the 7b/8a line, and it looks like we may have almost the exact same hardiness zone.
I'm growing a few different varieties, and all are doing well so far even through this colder and wetter winter we've had this year. I bet you probably wouldn't have a problem with any of the varieties either as far as cold hardiness goes. I haven't had any fruit yet, so I'm not sure about that, but choosing an earlier ripening variety may be best to ensure it ripens for you.
Hope this helps a little! Maybe some others will have some additional info, that have harvested fruit or are growing them in colder locations.
