Looking for a way to keep plastic bits that the recycling service wont take or would be bulky to keep around I came up with a few ideas.

1) Wrappers can be stuffed into a plastic bottle and when the bottle is full can be used as insulation or as an ecobrick.

2) Most soda cans can have their lid removed with a standard can opener (I've even opened carbonated drinks this way before drinking, takes some practice to not be messy). This makes can much more useful.

A few things that can be done with the opened soda can after poking some holes in it:
-Candle holder
-Flower pot (most cans have a thin food grade plastic lining over the aluminum inside)
-Watering can (better with plastic water bottles)

I've been thinking about soda cans as containers for seed starting.
Even after few seasons, they could still ne recycled.

We don't drink soda, but we occasionally use some other canned items, and I've been thinking about using them for seed starting, too. But, I've been collecting them for a while now, for things like organizing my workbench. Nailed to support posts, they work well for holding small hand tools, extra pegboard hooks, wax pencils, carpenter pencils, that bottle of plumline chalk, etc.
