I can't see a way to toggle off the "K count" in my permies account personalisation options.
I'm embarrassed that I have funded this destructive political animal (that is; Kickstarter, not Paul) and wish for my sins to go quietly unadvertised.

There is supposed to be a way to turn that off if you want - but I just looked and couldn't find a way.  Let me check with our developer.

To hide "k"...

1) Go to edit your profile

2) Expand "Preferences"

3) Check the checkbox that says "Hide the kickstarter icon next to my name"

4) Hit submit to save changes.

I take it that you only see the option if you have a "K"?
