This, battered squash blossoms w/ fresh chopped garlic,basil,parsley, topped with fresh tomato. I do fry in bacon grease...

I like squash blossoms in a salad. I haven't tried them battered.

What other kinds of blossoms have you tried battered and fried?

Howdy,

Years ago, I was foraging for wild foods,(remember Euell Gibbons), and someone found and showed me the wild cobra/tiger(?) lily flower. We batter some and ate them. I have them here but never harvest. They only grow along the creek.

The squash blossoms in the above photos are volunteer(cross pollinated), so I don't really want the squash. I have saved squash seeds for roasting and eating.
