I know it's a long shot, but I'm a 24 year old Christian woman looking for a Christian man. I'm very conservative and traditional. I'm posting this here, because I'm looking for a man who's interested in a homesteading lifestyle. I don't have experience farming, and I realize that makes me an undesirable pick but I'm determined to gain experience, Lord willing.

Well, I mean, I'd be interested in knowing more about you! Also, I saw your post on well water -You can drink reverse osmosis water if you can't find a good well, or whatever. It's a little acidic in nature, but you can add some Celtic sea salt to alkalinize it a bit. I got to a natural grocers and fill up glass jugs... Try it!

I mean, I imagine that would be ideal -I've thought a good bit about rain harvesting... Lived in PA for a little bit and the property I was on had a natural spring -Nothing like it! What are gonna "fill up"? Like, just a jug, or some larger basin??

Its too bad you don't live in Canada, in the times we are facing and about to face it would be so nice to have a group of Christian homesteaders to form a community in, where we could have our large families worshiping Christ, but also resilient for the turmoil that is about to happen.

I should probably also mention that I very strongly believe in gender roles, man being head and provider and woman being helpmeet to her husband:)

Hi Katie,
I'm Lucas Johnson. I'm 28 years old and live on a 37 acre homestead in eastern Arizona. A little about me. I have a degree in history, I'm a writer, and a national ranked epee fender. My father and step mother live on the property with me. We have chickens, turkeys and goats. We practice permaculture and hope to be totally self sustaining soon. Just wanted to say hi.

Lucas
PS: I am a Christian man and conservative.

Hi Mr Johnson, thank you for reaching out:) I would just like to say this up front. I don't think I could move too far from Oregon, I'm not opposed to leaving the state,I just don't know if I could move many states out,as my family is in oregon. That being said, national ranked epee fencer sounds pretty interesting, lol.

Hi Katie,
I didn't think I could move away from Reno either. Just saying. It took some getting use to but I have adjusted.

Sometimes a lack of experience makes one the best candidate for homesteading as they are often more receptive to learning.

Your determination will pay off in the long run.  I wish you success in your journey.

There are many Christian men looking for the same.

Blessings.

I'm also looking for a young single female Christian permaculture afficionado who wants to have a traditional relationship and eventually children.  I'm 38, located in upstate NY, I own my own home in town, I own 50 acres in the country with a small dry cabin and have started the process of making it more comfortable for eventual continuous habitation.  I've been a bible-believing non-denominational born-again Christian and interested in permaculture for over 15 years.  I've always loved the description of the garden that God made for Adam and Eve in the beginning.  If nothing else I'd love to discuss beliefs and see where you stand.  I've attached a photo of me clearing trees a week or so ago in preparation for the new driveway.
