Rose hips for Texas/zone 9

I stumbled upon a vibrant patch of wild rosehips while abroad and would love to grow something similar at home. I believe the variety I found in Germany is Dog Rose (Rosa canina) but this is not native to Texas where I live and is considered an invasive species in parts of the US. There are several rose varieties that are native to the US, but I’m not familiar with their fruiting capacity.
Can anyone recommend a rose that produces hips of similar quantity and quality to the Dog Rose, but isn’t potentially invasive?

These roses are native to Texas.  I don't know about what types of rose hips they produce:
