I like these new ideas.  His simple design made at home is awesome.  Kinda makes me want to move to the Wyoming planes!

This is a really great idea.  Oddly, with wind power, the expensive part isn't the generator itself, it's actually the tower.  It has to allow for maintenance and quickly gets expensive and/or complicated.  His design removes that structure entirely.  I would love to see more details about the build.

They already use kites to pull electric catamarans so using that mounting point they could also generate electricity when anchored in wind.
