Ok, number one, I hate talking about myself and hate trying to 'sell' my 'virtues' for attention.
That being said, this kind of thing is really hard for me to put out there for ridicule. I find myself widowed, living on my small farm and still have lots to do on this homestead. Looking for a nice lady that would be interested in starting a conversation that could lead to a greater, more intimate relationship over time. I'm Christian, conservative and really dislike city life, hence the country cabin. I'm mostly an introvert so that says a lot. I am very loving, honest and passionate. I build things, from cars to houses and nearly everything in between. I heat with wood and enjoy the quiet sounds of a natural setting. I'm sure there is a ton that I should say, but don't know what to say. I'm reasonably well educated and have studied many languages if that gives any indication. I'm loyal to the end and never cheat. If any of this remotely interests any ladies, please feel free to contact me.

Well, that's sufficiently vague and interesting all at the same time...

Hi Robin,

I appreciate how you get right to the point.
Where is your country cabin located?

Carol

Perfect. I equally dislike blasting my own horn. Very loyal and tender hearted. I'm a good helper,  artist, cook and not afraid of quiet time. I prefer it. Sometimes talk is just filling space with nonsense. I would like to further this conversation if you are interested, just letting you know that I am interested.  Thanks for your time

Nah, don't worry so much about ridicule.   Lots of us find ourselves in similar circumstances.   Single, older, with an interest in a lifestyle that might not have a lot of similar folks local to us to connect with.  I think this is a good place to reach out and chat with folks.  Traffic may not be as high as some of the dating sites, but folks here generally are already interested in permaculture/ homesteading etc.

As far as what else to say about yourself,  what do you think people need to know,  what are you looking for,  or what do you think someone might find interesting or curious about you?

I am in my early 50s,  one grown child, no grandchildren.   Dog trainer by trade,  and have experience with raising ducks, sheep, rabbits, dogs, cats, pigs.  I know a little about cows.   Horses scare me;  I don't understand them or read them well.   I vote Libertarian,  not particularly religious,  I eat a strict ketogenic diet.   I've lived in a lot of different places from very urban to very rural.   Prefer rural.   Have been single (divorced) for 15 years, and fairly good friends with my ex at this point.   I've been thinking of getting out of New England for something a bit warmer with a bit longer growing season.

Feel free to send a message or replay and chat here so other interested parties can see/ get to know you better!

I also find it really hard to extoll my "virtues".  It's why I've never done very well in interviews.  And this type of format is " what I call serial monologue".  Since it's not a real-time back and forth conversation, it's almost impossible to get a sense of who someone really is.
Anyway, I have always been a city/suburb dweller, but really only feel at ease and at peace out in nature, and I am looking to make a possibly radical change in my life.  I may not be super experienced with building things, but would love to learn and help, and feel the satisfaction that comes from building things.
It might be helpful to know what your age is.

Hello Robin,
I was reading about a medicinal herb on permies.com when somehow the permaculture singles page opened on the screen.  I had no idea there was such a thing.  Then I was very surprised by your post, both the words and the photos.  A bit at a loss for words; I would love an opportunity to talk with you.  I think there is a chance we may want to know one another.

I would be glad to tell you more about myself in a private conversation or message.  I don't know what a PM (purple moosage?) is yet, but I'll learn.
I hope you have time to reply and thank you,
Lauren

I’m looking for a Christian who loves the permaculture lifestyle. Not sure how to post a picture. I have a permaculture 1/4 acre lot in town where I planted 50 fruit trees.
