Moved onto 1 1/2 acres just west of the Oklahoma City metro area last August. Fall planted some fruit and nut trees right away. Looking to add other guild layers this year. Though I've never done permaculture per se, I've been gardening my whole life and have had edible backyard landscapes at previous houses.

Welcome to Oklahoma. What trees did you plant? You just got some good moisture for them in the last few days. I'm in Western oklahoma, we didn't get quite so much moisture sadly.
