It’s been in my barn, it’s fine and I have used it

Counter march, 6 treads

I’m getting ready to move, and would rather give it away than haul it

I think it’s a nilus le clerk

I’ll check that and photograph for any serious inquiries

Had to look it up to see what we're talking about ... it could be this:

https://www.camillavalleyfarm.com/weave/nilus.htm

About 100 - 150 lbs, worth a few thousand dollars, and if I had a dedicated room to put it in, I'd be there in a second to get it ... unfortunately, would have to evict a child or two to make room for it.

hope it gets to a good home!

The link above is for a “jack” style loom.

It is a rising shed loom.    some harnesses rise to create the shed (adding tension to only those rising warp threads) and some harnesses staying put, (no added tension on those warp threads)

On my loom, which could be yours, some harnesses rise, while other harnesses fall to create the shed ,  the tension is distributed over all the warp threads.

Only in some circumstances does this make a difference, but it’s worth making the distinction 😊…

I didn't think LeClerc had made a counter marche loom but here it is...  https://www.camillavalleyfarm.com/weave/nilusii.htm#cm

Sadly I also don't have room for it or would headed your way.

Shoot me but I see I am only about 5 hours from your place...  what are the exact dimensions of the loom? does it fold? will it fit in the back of a pick up to move and yes I will find room for it... even if I have a rent a room.

Did/will this exchange happen, or is this incredible piece still available?

It’s done, Carla
Sorry you missed out.

But there are likely to be looms in barns garages and storage.  Wanted ads on Craigslist might help you find one cheap

And the woman who got mine might have one to give away😊

Yes it did.  We picked her up on Monday then went and spent time in the hot springs at Idaho Springs and drove home on Tuesday of last week.  She is indeed an incredible loom and I can't wait to get her all set up and start weaving.

This is awesome news! I'm very happy for both of you! Congratulations!
