I love the permaculture playing cards!

I love the colors, the info on each card, and I love how I can support the permaculture work of Paul and his team when I buy them and then gift them to people. What better time to sneak up some useful info under someone's eyes than when they're having fun playing a card game?

I imagine if hundreds and thousands of card decks would be gifted to people, and lots of those people will use the cards and discover permaculture, and they would change their lives to be better stewards of this planet.

Paul says there is a possibility to print the permaculture playing cards at a lower cost, so the price for them would be lower. However, the minimum quantity to print is really high. If there are enough people that want to do this, Paul will place a huge order.

So, this is a thread to show Paul that more people DO want to buy the cards! Especially if he can get a much lower price!  Together we can do this!

(these prices would include US Shipping)

I could do 5-6 decks but 12 is beyond what I can spend. Is there a solution?

You know who could use these wonderful cards [besides converted permies already]: School libraries, that's who. There is an Ag teacher in every school, so why not suggest it to the school districts?

It seems interest in a reprint is very low.  I think the thing I am going to do is to raise the prices on what I have left and then just slowly sell those until they are all gone.

I'd buy a half dozen.  I bet you'd get far far more takers with more options for smaller amounts.

I quite agree with you on that. I would buys a half dozen too. Perhaps the Ag teacher could get some help affording these cards and could purchase a few decks for his/ her students. 6 decks would work for one classroom, but 12 or more?

Kinda need to point at this again.

The key is that sales of the cards slows down with each passing year.  I guess they are kinda all done.  Most folks that wanted to buy them cheap, have already bought them cheap.

If a few hundred people wanted a lot of cards, I will place one more huge order.

I can place a smaller order, but the price of the cards, per deck, is MUCH higher.  And the amount of work to place the order is still a LOT of work.

Total # of decks requested(by my crude count) on this thread as of 3/15/22 2:45pm pst:

333 decks

That looks like we've surpassed the lowest price tier requirement from the original post; sounds worthwhile.

Or maybe you're expecting half of these folks to change their mind if an actual preorder (involving money) was started?

If I'm gonna order 10,000 decks, it would be good to see interest in a pre-order hit 2000 or more.

I like the idea that there are a hundred people that will grab 100 decks each and give them to 100 different people.  Mass brain infection stuff.  I will make the leap, do all the work and have a big stock for the next 100 people that want to do the same.

But if there are a dozen people that want six decks ...   or several people that add up to 400 decks ...   then this isn't a tool that changes the world - it's a novelty.

Further, it is the shipping cost that is really brutal.  Even if the cards were free, I think people would still balk at buying them because of the cost of shipping.  This sorta rolls back to the idea of somebody buying them from me to sell on amazon.
