Put 2 goose eggs in my incubator 33ish days ago and have them hatching now.
They will be African and Toulouse mix. Two big nice breeds.
This was my first time incubating and it’s not really made for the big goose eggs but it what I could afford and make due, that’s why I only tried 2.
One is doing better then the other. But they sure are super cute. Was thinking hard about gathering my silver orchard duck eggs and incubating those next. And selling for a few extra bucks.
Geese are so expensive and would love to eat and butcher extra males this year but this is what I can afford for now. May try to find local seller that have eggs or cheaper gosling for sale.
Anybody else got stuff in the incubator?

Unfortunately I have to skip this year for myself. I was just wondering though, if you have space for an all natural incubator that could hold over a dozen eggs (aka Mommy goose)? :)

I was leaving her to it, and grabbed 2 to try in the incubator.
This would have been her first year brooding, but a possum was able to come in and grab her eggs. She was so upset I felt so bad. She is going in a better set up, so this never happens again. Next year though we will see how many she hatch’s. I still feel bad for mamma bird.

Yesterday I just put In 48 partridge chantecler and chantecler x leghorn eggs. I'm slowly building my partridge chantecler flock up and hoping to get to around 24 hens by fall. I have 6 right now.

Hatchings today! It's too early to open the incubator,  so it's hard to tell how many, but at least 15, so far.

Could you hold this kitten for a sec? I need to adjust this tiny ad:
