Good morning

I am looking for viable Jerusalem Artichoke seed (such as Oikos Tree Crops "Shiawassee"). Happy to pay for good seed and postage within the USA.

Please email me at jason.sampson1@gmail.com if you can help.

ARS-GRIN sent me a bunch, so you could try them.

Helianthus tuberosus L. var. tuberosus is grown from tuber not seeds.

I usually buy my stuff on eBay.  Look for a seller willing to ship to where you live.

This might help:

Oh, Jason, so sorry. I meant to be recommending that you get your sunchoke seeds from ARS-GRIN, which is why I included the link.

While I do have a few left, I intend to plant the rest later this month. I also planted 23 varieties of tubers purchased from Oikos and a couple other odd 'n' ends. I'm hoping to get to the point where they're producing crossed up seeds that I can supply to the larger community, but that didn't happen last year and so I'm not sure if it will this year or if my season is too short. There is a thread around here where Joseph Lofthouse was offering seeds from his sunchoke landrace -- I'm not sure if he's still doing that, but try searching for it and maybe ping him.

Hi Christopher

Thank you. Your plans are pretty much what I want to do. Id love a bit of genetic variation in my stock. I have reached out to Joseph as well.
