It looks like it's that time of year when we end up scratching our heads and saying, "What is that?!"
I actually remember planting these seeds last year. They are nicely spaced and in a row. But then the brussel sprouts grew up and blocked one side and a lovely giant pumpkin vine completely engulfed the other side and I forgot anything was there until this week when I was clearing away debris to plant seeds. And now I have no idea what I put there. It might be some kind of flower. I planted mostly Brassica in that bed but I don't think it's a Brassica. Of
course I can wait and probably figure it out in a few months but it's driving me crazy that I remember the day I planted the seeds and clearly thought it was something that needed no label, while I labeled all the cabbage and kale and kohlrabi and Brussels sprouts (like I'm going to forget what those look like 🙄).
UPDATE: Yes, they are beets! Thank you!
