Looks like my weeping mulberry is going to produce a bit this year. Got it because I thought it would be easy to pick, unlike my standards that are 20 ft tall now. The weeping mulberry is in the
yard, but at the edge of my pasture there is a weeping ornamental cherry that the livestock keeps trimmed. Made me think that other weeping fruit
trees might provide the dual benefit of being easy to pick and self feeding fodder trees. A google search returned weeping crabapples and cherries but they do not appear to be producers of what most would consider to be edible fruit. Can you think of any other weeping fruit trees?
I’ve also considered building a
trellis specifically designed to allow livestock to trim something like a grape or muscadine as it grows throughout the season. Anyone done this? If so, do you have any pics?
