Hello!
I am currently in search of an extremely low wifi/tech to no wifi/tech farm or property that I can either pay low rent (around 100/mo) or work 10-20 hours for free camping space. I am looking for a place to tent camp long-term.
Situation:
I have trouble with technology. I am staying with relatives but because of the lack of sleep, foggy mindedness, headaches, pain, and other health problems, it is becoming difficult to recover after work.
I moved in with relatives to work longer hours so I could save money and move. Also, I do freelance part-time and wanted to transition to full-time. However, I can't sit long enough to complete online work due to fatigue, lack of concentration, and pain. From January to around April, I used my laptop maybe twice. I have tried to work non-freelance jobs but they are either in wired buildings or require extensive exposure to technology. In terms of a career, I must think outside the box.
I can post this using technology, of course. However, symptoms and recovery time seem to correlate to the duration/strength of the exposure. I am hoping someone can help or give me helpful ideas.
About me:
I am over forty, have an advanced degree (graduated recently) in a field booming with opportunities as a freelancer. My goal is to focus on getting REAL rest in a low or non-wired place so I can put in more work hours, earn, and save money. I also want to establish and grow a professional business that is not based online.
I cannot live or work long-term in wired environments. My computer, my phone, the wifi, my charger, my car (yes...it may be the Bluetooth), some lights, and the security system, to name a few items, make me sick. I have also gotten sick in places such as hotels, some stores, parks, and apartments. Wired places (wired meaning wireless).
I eat mostly vegan, vegetarian mostly due to my faith/beliefs. I need a tent space accessible by car. Electric to plug in basic things is nice but not necesssry. I can pay extra for access to water/electric/bathroom or find an environmentally friendly disposal alternative if using camping facilities. I have a camping stove and can learn to do without other things, so I feel better. I would like to relocate to the Western US. I do better with the allergies/lower humidity in this region. I currently live in the Southeast.
I am a minority and a female.
I did not receive the liquid people are injecting. I look for a place that is supportive of this decision/right.
Skills:
Art (unfortunately, I have been creating e-learning products, I sometimes create digital art for those products )
Cooking (simple such as biscuits, pancakes, spaghetti, soup, etc.)
Cleaning (don't trust your laundry with me, but vaccum, mop, sweep)
I have worked with children
I have worked/lived with animals (dogs mostly)
Pitch a tent
Automatic/manual transmission (never drove a farm/field tractor but am willing to learn)
I have no farming/homestead skills but want to learn (planting, harvesting, feeding animals, building a fence, house, etc)
If you have any questions, let me know. Thank you!
