I've just returned from a regional fair and have seen the light!

An apple orchard had a booth and in addition to selling all manner of fried apple, they had one fellow standing in front of an apple peeler/corer/slicer with kids standing in line to pay $3 per apple slinky.
I think the novelty was at least 50% of it. Imagine kids clamoring to get something good for them.....

On Amazon the things cost under $25, so payback is fast (assuming you don't already have one). Maybe I need to start hitting the local festivals......

I have a spiral peeler, its great. and there's someone who does it with potatoes, sticks it on stick and deep fries it locally at the fairs.

A few years back I was looking at organic produce prices. I found a company that would sell you a green pepper for 5 bucks. And for another 5 bucks, they can ship it to you overnight.

This sounds great. I have seen potatoes done this way and deep fried. They stretched them out on a shishobob stick. People loved them. Has anyone seen any other item that has been sliced like this?
