Not looking to define any sort of connection at the moment, taking things as they come with this.

I am a 34 year old woman on 21 acres of wooded knobs in Kentucky. I have a few acres open that are currently pasture (goats and sheep) and being nurtured after years of neglect. I love my woods and its adjacent to 3000 acres of wildlife management areas, far enough that my asphalt turns to gravel and I can't leave my land when we have a lot of rain.  I prefer wild foods/game and use plants/trees/mushrooms as my medicine. Animal foods are a big part of my diet - I either hunt/trap, raise my own, or buy whole animals from local farms (vegans will not enjoy being with me)

I am connected to grid but my electric use is incredibly minimal. I have rainwater systems but I am still connected to county water. I pay the bare minimum monthly on these even with my 5 children here full time (raised in this lifeway)

I love music. I play several instruments and keep learning more. I love to sing. I love to read and play card/board games. I watch movies on my laptop but have no TV or cell phone.

I sew, spin, weave, knit, felt...I have busied myself this last year with natural tanning. I only wear linen, wool, or skins with the exception of my winter gear until I make new ones when they wear out.

I have several tattoos and will most likely get more. Its probably the most unnatural thing about me (and the occasional Dr Pepper) but its a spiritual thing for me. I am quite slender but will be gaining about 10 pounds in the next year to get back to where I'm comfortable.  I don't shave, I don't wear make up. The fanciest I get with my hair is putting Calendula oil in it to help the curls come out. My hair goes back and forth between wild woman free and braids.

I'm a Taurus and live up to the stubbornness. However, I am deeply loyal. I have an intellectual mind but am working on quieting it down to allow the wisdom of the collective to come through.

I "work" as an herbalist. I am on a break in practice from midwifery. My land is registered as a botanical sanctuary so I nurture native and at risk species of edibles and medicinals. My work with folks is worked through a gift/barter economy (which does include fiat currency but its not mandatory).

For classification purposes - I am heathen and animist.  Seeking someone similar there.

The occasional mild prepper tendencies and my best friend is the same but we also usually mellow each other out about it. 2nd amendment supportive. Libertarian bent.

I don't mind tobacco in ceremony and the occasional pot.  I use alcohol in my tinctures and occasionally in celebration. I make Mead.

So for those I haven't scared away - I like who I am. I carry scars. I've had dismemberments and I love how it has made me love and care so deeply. I wouldn't change any of it.

You sound like a wonderful person.  If I was unattached and quite a bit younger, I'd love to get to know you; and learn from you.  As is, I'm happily married to someone who would not understand the draw of the lifestyle you live, plus old, tired and set in my ways.  Good luck finding someone to appreciate you and compliment your skills and beliefs.

I wish you are still looking for someone! Do not make me check my PM every half an hour. Just send me a message.

I agree with you, your outlook is like mine also. I'm a Taurus like you, it was refreshing to read about someone that feels the same way as I do. I would truly like to join you on this quest of life together. Hope to hear from you soon.

Hello Raven

Sounds like you have many threads of life. You are radiant and I think your hair is simply magnificent

I am significantly older than you by sun years

I know your journey is going to be joyous

Cheers
Jeff

I just wanted to say that you are an amazing and beautiful being and your post gave me a much needed shot of hope that my tribe is out there somewhere.  Sadly, I have commitments that keep me in Arizona, so I'm probably not the guy for you, but if you ever make it out this way for a visit, I would love to meet you.
