i would like to see a permaculture university that links farms and intentional communties with permie teachers and and other teachers with specialized skills. imagine wwoofing, but with units of credit

given to people for doing agricultural work, teaching, cooking, or childcare, or all of the above.

the commuities and university are linked togeather through a point system, in other words, a barter system.

the work i do at one community gives me points that i may use to purchase goods and specalized services if i travel to other communities.

it makes it easier for me to commit to going to live in an intentional community in the first place if i am able to 'uncommit'...aka..-leave- that community and go to another one if i want to---- if i can leave the first community with credit income.

I like the idea and I'd be happy to participate in such a proposal, though I prefer the sharing or gifting economy to the barter economy.

wonderful its only an idea right now. a school spread out among farms around the land; where i could apply to go to school, work on the farms, and learn more specalized trades in exchange. it would support elders who have valuable skills to share and provide the basics for younger people looking to apprentice. it could be a combination trade school, art school and farm school. travel is encouraged. communities could flow and grow. if somebody found they didn't like a particular farm, teacher, subject, or place, they could leave without feeling like they had to leave everything, in other words, they could transfer to another place within the school in good standing.

re-reading my own earlier post, i think the "point system" sounds weird, never mind about that phrase, my main idea is that i was thinking about how to make community living situations more livable for me, what would i personally like to see?
