Hey there! I am currently traveling doing work trades (mostly wwoofing). I would love to find/co-create small, intentional community, or find a long term land share/work trade opportunity. I am open to various locations (mostly) in the states. I'm just finishing up a wonderful work trade in NE Arizona and because of the many challenges here I believe I have just ruled out the southwest.

I will be exploring Texas a bit so if you're there and interested in chatting, please let me know!

I would happily consider work trade agreements involving gardening, animal care, nannying/childcare/homeschool support, elder care, housecleaning, personal assistance, or some combination thereof.

About me:

Solo 39 year old woman, no children or pets
Passionate about bodily autonomy in all ways
Committed to living a vaccine- and mask-free lifestyle
My life is free of religion and politics
I recognize no one and no group as having authority over me; I own myself and I view all others as owners of self
I operate by the Golden Rule, creating agreements operating from an intention of equal reciprocity
I believe we may be approaching difficult economic times and I am preparing for that in common sense ways, but I am not interested in hiding or merely surviving; I choose to thrive and form deep connections with others during this time
I see society changing in undesirable and I choose to realign my focus on what I would like to create
Interested in living simply and as closely aligned with Nature as possible
I would love to live in small, intentional community
I seem to require music as much as I require water and air, so I sing a lot and I'd love to create music with others
I am physically strong and I can learn anything
I have experience gardening, caring for some farm animals including milking goats and processing their milk, caring for children and elders, and administrative/ reception/customer service work
I eat a vegetarian diet and I love cooking vegan/ vegetarian meals, but as part of my passion for bodily autonomy and general respect for and acceptance of others, I wish to create an environment in which we agree to respect each other's food choices

Of course, there's more I could mention, but I'll leave it here for now. If this resonates with you or you have questions, I'd love to hear from you! I'm grateful for your attention.

Much love,
Megan

Hi Megan,

I was just going to create a post when I noticed yours. I’m a 39 yo guy running a regenerative farm in SE Michigan by myself. I’m always looking for volunteers / farm sitter to help tend the livestock and garden. I have a rudimentary airstream and I have plans to create a living space in my basement for volunteers. I recently had a farm sitter who stayed here for a few weeks but they disappeared on me. I’d like to eventually create an intentional community here to help the farm reach its potential. It sounds like we see the world in much the same way so I figured I would respond to your post. I offer a place to stay and food in exchange for help with the farm. Volunteers are in their own when it comes to finances. Feel free to message me if you might be interested we can discuss further

Hey,
I have a Veggie farm in the jungles of Puerto Rico.  We are trying to build more community here.  Right now it is my wife and children and a few other like minds in the neighborhood.  We have a guy that just started working with us and plenty of folks coming and going.  We have multiple sleeping options: school bus, vintage camper, pole barn camping, ect.  We have multiple properties and doing lots of permaculture homesteading projects.  We are all into medical freedom and freedom of all kinds.  Probably consider ourselves anarchists.  If your interested feel free to call me.  8023801893  Joshua

Hi Megan,

I'm putting together an ecovillage on 13 beautiful rural acres near Chattanooga, TN based on land stewardship, freedom and natural living. And, yes, we offer work exchanges. You can check it out on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/groups/636638273601942/?source_id=106476064371096 and also at http://HarmonyWoods.net if you're interested. Best wishes!

Coweeta is looking for folks to help start up an Intentional Community.  The farm is off-grid with a 1/4 acre beyond organic raised bed garden.  Temp housing while we build housing.  Saw mill and timber available.  I'.ve hosted volunteers for many years and now is the time to establish a permanent community to help care for the land.  Located in a small intimate valley in the Nantahala mountains of North Carolina.   Commitment to healthy living and helping others required.  For more info email at coweeta@gmail.com.  Best wishes, paul chew

While you're doing WWOOFing and such, you're probably building a lot of cool skills.  What you might not realize is that Paul Wheaton has a way for you to catalogue those skills to prove that you are deserving of inheriting land of your own!

Hi Megan,
What an awesome writing about yourself & your desires of what you want to create , even in these uncertain times ! I have deep gratitude for your attitude ! I have worked on my own positive self improvement in mind, body & spirit since my early adulthood & can see you are more advanced in your thinking after reading your profile
I am at a biological age of mid 40's  ! I have worked hard at keeping a healthier life style ! I have been into practical herbalism  & remineralizing for over 20 years ! I own a 20 plus acre organic farm in SW Wis in the hills of the Driftless area of the Midwest since 2013. I have built most of this place from the ground up ! My desire has been to create a sustainable, intelligent, intentional community with several others !  Ideally I would like a co-creator with your background & experience to help do that, here
Whether you utilize my homestead as a stepping stone on your path or to co create , I am open to those positive possibilities & sharing my years of down to earth , practical experiences on real farm life & homesteading ! Please feel free to write to me , thrivingly&proton.me , Thanks for your consideration, & have a beautiful day, Jay

Hello,

In NW Colorado seeking to create an intentional(ish) community. Have all the facets except the people. Prefer your attitude of bodily autonomy.

Have a small medium working dairy on 250 acres.  Would love to incorporate many more facets. The cheese operation was at a break even point last season and poised to grow with people and yet is capable of almost going completely off grid with wood gas, and other facets. Still just seeking the right people to join me in the grand adventure of life.

Peace
