So I demo the wall from my living room to my garage and built a bump out. I had this stove in my garage to heat it and then had the door open into the kitchen with fans to blow in the hot air into the house which heated my home but the cost was lot of wood so now I built this bump out to cut down on wood. What you guys think?

Hi Tyler. Welcome to Permies!

Offhand, I'd say it looks pretty good. It's way more efficient to have the stove in your primary living area.

It looks great.  I am in the process of adding a a similar concrete block extension to my high tunnel to better heat it.

I would had done concrete block or something more permanent but this is just temporary for a couple years. Plan on moving on 3 years so didn't go all out on it. Just just hole in the living room build a bump out into the garage about 3ish feet. Base to four feet up is Hardie board and tile then rest is drywall. Did one inch space between the Hardie board and 2x4.

Not looking good. I think this might be the end. Wait! Is that a tiny ad?
