I just visited the Beacon Food Forest in Seattle and I thought I'd give it a plug. It fairly large and well thought out..As with much of the ways of the pnw, keeping plant growth from going nutso before you want it to is a priority.  Very different from say the front range of colorado.  It seems to be very successful thus far as even now there is still yield to be had. I do like how they have incorporated other community aspects and ideals into the making of this 7 acre space. Not just a gia t garden but an active community space.  Really cool project, I would suggest if your ever in the area to come by and meander. Can't wait to learn more, I havent even volunteered yet.

I've driven past it plenty of times when visiting Seattle but haven't had the time to stop and check it out.
