I don't have a pic... but picture this. we had a bottle fed bummer lamb living on our porch a couple years back. it became our new pet. take it on walks (no leash, just followed), let it in the house, drink from the dog bowl, accidentally ate the cat food. ...but then one day... it hopped onto the kitchen counter, a 3 foot jump, some dishes went flying, HAHAHA. serious. ok, no more lambs in the kitchen, unless...

My wife "persuaded" me to pick up a heifer calf last fall... she arrived at 4 months,  and now is 11 months old.  She's Jersey×Holstein, and will be bred for late spring calving to capitalize on lush spring grass during lactation,  and ensure the calves can learn to graze alongside mom.

These are my first ever fall kids! Twins, born yesterday at dusk. The spotted gray is a doe, the brown is a buck.

We just had a bull calf born last week. He's a big boy already! We haven't settled on a name but my sister suggested we call him Meatloaf lol.

I know the thread title says 2021, but it's full of adorable pictures so why not keep adding to it?

We welcomed a bull calf onto the farm yesterday, born mid-afternoon. I was present, and it really could not have gone better. Momma calved unassisted, and at first sight of hooves emerging, the calf was on the ground in less than 5 minutes. 20 minutes later he was trying to stand up and about 15 minutes after that he was trying to figure out momma's teats. Picture was taken today, he's about 21 hours old or so.
