I last checked the stable at 7:30 am.  At 10:30, as I was putting on my coat, my Border Collie began running wildly back and forth between the barn and the back door.   My Nigerian Dwarf had delivered 2 babies.  Mother was drying them off when I got there. She assures me her children are doing well and are superior to other children.  I will post pictures if I ever locate my phone. Of course, we are in the middle of an ice storm.  Fortunately I moved the mother to the stable 2 days ago.

John, that's wonderful news! Congratulations on your new babies. Sounds like their mother is a wonderful mom.

We had our first kids of the year born last Friday afternoon. Twin girls!

Please post pictures soon. Can never get enough of baby goats!

I ended up with 14 lambs this year.  With 8 ewes. Only lost one baby lamb.  Due to a mother rejecting it.  All twins except a yearling had a single.
Dorper ram bred back to Katahdin ewes.

So far since January I’ve had two heifer calves with at least 5 more on the way by july.

sooo my second doe gave birth on thursday. The baby goats look quite interesting. sort of a sandy colour with wavy hair. I was out at a work party. and when i came home i saw two ravens in the goat pen.
Than i noticed two new babys!

So this year i had 3 boys and 2 girls.

One goat had a curled foot which has now corrected itself.

Otherwise they are all healthy.

it is cute to see 5 baby goats in a cuddle puddle.

I love that. Congratulations on five healthy babies! They are absolutely adorable! I still have one more doe to go, due in about a week.

Two kiddings down and one to go!

First kidding was twin doelings.

Being born is hard work and deserves a nap!

Next was a single buckling.

He's her first.

They grow quickly, so yesterday I took some updated baby pictures.

Cute baby boy, 2 weeks old.

The little girls, one month old.

Starting to nibble grass.

With baby boy's mama.

Still to go...

Due in about a week.
