I saw this on Facebook and had to share it. This has got to be one of the coolest fencing ideas I have ever seen! Threw in pictures of the chair because it’s similar but also super cool.

Very nice that there are pictures showing the process.

If you are interested I posted this just this morning about what might be called "pooktre" or tree shaping. There are some links you might find interesting:

Pleached “Belgian fence”! Wonderful design that I’ve wanted to grow for years. Hoping that willow cuttings I’ve stuck this winter will take and get me started toward the goal.
Strong, beautiful, effective. Lots of great attributes.

Thanks so much for sharing that...great idea for at least the front part of our 5 acres.

When we moved here, 12 yrs ago, there was a dirt path in front of our property as there was only one other person way back behind us on 20 acres. On the other side of the path was 70 acres of trees. We were surrounded by 40 acres on 3 sides. Pure heaven!

Needless to say, it didn't last long. 2 yrs after we moved in, we ended up w 3 neighbors, 2 on either side, one behind. That was ok...then the folks who owned the 70 acres sold it & there is now a 3 section subdivision, with a paved road. Thank goodness our house sits a long way away from the road and there's probably a good acre of trees between us. No fences as of yet. Really expensive up here in AK, but we'll get it done eventually.

ALL that to say I REALLY love your post about the living hedge. I think it would be perfect out front, tks! 😁
