Coweeta is looking for folks to help build a vision for a better world; a healing place for folks and the land.  32 acres is located in a small valley in the Nantahala Mountains of Western North Carolina.  Abundant springs, an awesome organic garden, trout pond, temporary housing available, saw mill and timber to build with.  We are attempting to start a community with the land in trust.  Now, we just need folks willing to make the commitment to living simply and well.  The property is off grid (including the whole valley) so it hasn't been ruined by development.  Commitment to healthy living a must!  Coweeta has served as a school for sustainable living for twenty years, teaching many folks, young and old, how to live with less and prosper.  We would like to share this vision (or yours) with others and have this land in good hands for the future.  You can learn more about Coweeta at ic.org (Coweeta Heritage Center/Talking Rock Farm), www.coweetaheritagecenter.com, www.facebook.com/coweetaheritagecenter).  Volunteers welcome, Internships available, or permanent membership.  Come visit Coweeta and see if this is your new home!

I’d be ready to move out ASAP just to get to know the sawmill and put my wood tools to work.

Greetings, Paul!
After perusing your website, I feel a strong resonance with your vision for a community and your land-rooted quality of life. If I read correctly, I ought to schedule a first time visit before roving out toward Coweeta Gap. I'd be delighted to make a stop on my way from PA to GA, come April.
Also, carving spoons is fun!

Hello Paul!

I am interested in learning more about your vision.  I have many skills that I can bring that can potentially support and help to grow the vision.  I am looking for a community of like-minded persons who can live and thrive off-grid together.  I have taken a look at your website, and also explored the area electronically.  I have visited the areas  north and west of your location in the past.  I have many questions and desire more information.  I may be contacted online at:  mary@organichomesteading.net.

Thank you!
Mary
