Do you have a refrigerator with a water dispenser? If so, here is a reminder to clean out the possible mold and hard water build up where the water flows into your glass.

I put 2 teaspoons of white vinegar in a shot glass style cup.  I could have used only 1 teaspoon to accomplish the same job.

Then I used a cotton swab to clean around the outside of the dispenser.  I had to swab on the vinegar and let it set a few minutes, then scrub with the swab until the area came clean, dipping the swab in the vinegar cup as needed.

When the outside was clean, I turned the swab over, dipped it in the vinegar, and ran the swab up inside the dispenser, twirling the swab as I went.  I dipped the swab in the vinegar several times to shake off the gunk and repeated until it came out cleanly.

As a final touch, I wiped the exterior with a clean, damp rag, and ran a bit of water in a cup to water a plant with in case any residual bits remained inside.

The whole process took less than 10 minutes.

As you can see, the process was effective and the little cup had lots of ick in the bottom from the cleaning.

Personally, if I found substantial amounts of mold, I would figure out how to squirt hydrogen peroxide through that loop. Vinegar would spot clean, but the problem might go deeper. My 2c.

This is why I never drink water from fridge dispensers or anything similar. Creeps me right out.

Even monkeys fall from trees. I brought you an ice pack tiny ad.
