Not understanding the post. Are you inviting people to come help you build? If so,do you mind if I ask what the incentives are?  Is it a landshark, possibility of purchasing land, or work for land agreement?  Curious?

Yes, I think I would like to try to join in that. I would make my own kind of home, I like to think others would do that,  and I would grow many things, as I see it is desirable for independently having food, materials, and medicinal herbs, in which I could have others join me in work growing and harvesting with what there is. I have been gathering seeds for approaching this. I would not be using animals with this way. I live clean without drinking alcohol or any smoking. I seek sustainability with the simple living I can gave and hope to have others involved in that with me. I am a storyteller too, being a writer, and I actually like sharing samples of what I write.

I've got a basic design for a "camping shelter" that'd be perfect for winter stays and overall camping visits that might be a good quick build.

After I get done with bootcamp and a conference this summer I'm looking for projects to help with and your property sounds perfect to help with.

Look forward to hearing about what you have going on this summer!

Hi there,

I came across your land share post on Permies and it immediately caught my heart. The simplicity, respect for permaculture principles, and emphasis on personal peace and autonomy is exactly what I’ve been searching for.

My name is Kathleen Grant. I’m 64, on a fixed Social Security income, and seeking a small patch of Earth where I can live simply, care for the land, and carry out my personal mission: restoring soil, supporting native species, and creating a haven for bees, bats, frogs, fireflies, and other ecological allies.

I am not looking for a work exchange or a role within a structured community. I’ve lived a life where my agency—over my time, body, and choices—was taken from me far too often. That part of my life is over.

What I am looking for is a small place of peace among others who value autonomy, community, earth care, and self-paced living. I come with a giving heart—I love to share, offer help, and collaborate when it feels mutual and right—but always from a place of freedom and choice, never obligation.

I have $5,000 to contribute toward a small land share, lease, or co-stewardship opportunity, and I receive a monthly stipend. I’m equipped with solar gear, excellent array of tools, equipment, a deep well of life experience, dedicated permaculture study, and highly creative energy. I seek a place where I can live lightly, love the land, and occasionally commune with others on a similar path.

If your project or community offers that kind of space—independent, earth-rooted, and mutual respect free from hierarchy—I would love to connect.

Aga’pe,
Kathleen Grant
