Hi, I'm new and in a bit of a rush, I've been meaning to properly start posting on this marvelous forum for some time, but I think you are a forgiving bunch of people and that it's better to post something -anything- than procrastinate over it to be a "perfect" presentation. Me and my wife are transitioning from
city to the country, to a pretty unpopulated area in central Spain, Guadalajara county. I intend to make a living out of the
land -aprox. 10 acres- and to do most of the work by hand. But as I said, some day I will introduce the property, the
project -and me, I suppose- appropriately to share my
experience and ask for advice and ideas.
Today I want to share some cool tools I think someone could like. I haven't tried them myself, haven't got money for that for now, sadly much of them are located faraway and today in the peakEverything era shipping becomes incredibly expensive.
So here it goes, it is not a comprehensive or detailed list, but it'll do for now:
Tornadica a russian
gardening tools manufacturer. I own a hand cultivator I purchased second hand and I can say it is pretty useful to loosen soil, extract weeds etc.
Zicko is a slovenian manufacturer that makes wire based tools.
Basic garden tool another great multifunctional garden tool. It is made in America, so shipping to here
wood probably be more expensive than the tool.
The prong, australian made, seems to be out of stock indifinitely, but maybe some of you could make your own.
Spear Head Spade is another american made cool tool.
Kikka Digga is a great idea, but they seem to have gone out of bussiness or something. You can still find it in ebay and other
online sellers I think.
One made here in Spain but still unaffordable to me right now is this
broadfork.
Finally one of my favorites, a
DIY hoe by Eric Brennan of the USDA, genius!
EDIT: I remembered another brilliant multifunctional tool, a
potato-digger fork that I post merely for information/replication because it has been out of stock for more than a year now.
