I'm probably missing something obvious, but I can't see an option to edit the text of a wiki-post.

The one in question is here:

Some Wiki pages can be edited and others cannot.

It is up to the author of the page to give permission to whom that person wants.

If there is no "edit" button, then the person trying to edit does not have permission.

You might try again Michael. I think that the permissions on that page expanded today.
