Has anybody tried/heard of salt sole? (Pronounced so-lay) It's good salt, like Himalayan, sea, or celtic, dissolved in water until saturated. Set overnight. Then put a couple spoonfuls in a cup of water every morning and drink on an empty stomach. It's a great source of electrolytes, give you more energy, helps you absorb water better, and has all sorts of other health benefits.

I've tried it a while back, but can't say I noticed any benefits. The jar of it is still sitting on my kitchen counter!

Sounds like it might be beneficial - especially when doing a lot of strenuous work &/or in the heat or extreme cold, when one is typically prone to dehydration - as long as fluid retention is not one of your usual struggles.

I tried it all this week. seems to be more of a long-term thing. I tried switchel today though and wow! It tasted great but more importantly I drank a 1/3 gallon (much much more than usual) and I've had a ton of energy and have been very mentally balanced. Recommend!

Switchel is on my list of things to play with, this summer. I'm glad to hear it was great for you! That's more encouragement, and maybe I'll even try it, this week! It's supposed to be in the high 80s(F) all week, and we have done heavy stuff outside to do, as well as a ride we want to take. We both tend to get fairly dehydrated, between the sun, wind, and heat from our motors.  I'll make some up, and take it along!

My husband ended up in the hospital with a severe sodium deficiency after we had been using Himalayan salt for about a year.   He over salts his food but they told him it wasn’t absorbing well.  I did some research and found out it does have some lead and radiation residues, but probably not very much.   We switched to Redmond and actually drink at least three quarts of water a day with 3/4 tsp. salt.  It has improved skin tone and made us much better hydrated and also detoxes the body a lot when it has sufficient water getting into the cells.

What I’m trying to say Is that the sole is probably very good IF you drink enough water with it.  Sodium is a high priority nutrient the body needs, but needs potassium to balance it.  Eating plenty of fruits and vegetables, properly grown, should accomplish that, and give you all the other electrolytes too, the calcium, magnesium and Vitamin  C.
