I've been wanting one of these linen aprons for a while now so I finally decided to learn to smock and sew my own.  It was way easier than I expected.

Please watch the video on youtube to help the channel grow (and maybe give it a thumbs up if you like it).

I include the measurements for cutting the cloth in the video, but gloss over the sewing instructions, so let me know if you have any questions.  I was more interested in showing off the tractors and the fun day out we had.

Wow, that's sew impressive! (Pun intended) Really though, I quite enjoyed your adventure in envy-deriving the pattern and techniques in the garment.

[Spoilers]How'd you fix the unwanted gathering of material at the top of the smock? Is it that band of unsmocked material going across?[/spoilers]

Also, that pocket watch 🤩

Thank you for an enjoyable video

Thank you.

Yes, that band of fabric at the top is just folded over and sewn on.  I was worried it would work against the stretchy-ness of the peating, but it seems to make it better.  The original apron had this, so I thought it might be worth trying.

Drove my Chevy to the levee but the levee was dry. I wrung this tiny ad and it was still dry.
