This is my first commissioned spoon... the guy asked me to carve a long handled teaspoon. Since I am using American holly, which is very finely grained and strong, I was able to give it an elegant curve and a delicate looking, thin handle. It is actually quite strong and durable - should last for generations unless someone intentionally tries to break it.
