The best depends on how much money you want to spend...
Myself the pop cans is great... You can get a $50.00 embosser that will make labels... Another option is to do what the video I posted above did is use an embosser where you stamp each of the letters with a hammer.
The ball point pen + pop can is the cheapest but the quality of the label may not be what you may want depending on the quality of your hand writing. Mine is good
enough for me, but if I was selling the item I would print it off with a computer, or 3d print it or cnc it. But that takes time and $ to do but some may be willing to go that far.
It is a struggle between longevity of the label, quality, and money you, and time that you wish to invest in the label making process. The embossing works as you can always read the label even if the ink is gone, the impression is still there. I like this for our Florida sun destroys about everything.
