To anyone installing a new wood burning stove, please remember that rather than cussing and freaking out and calling out a welder to install the stove pipe because there's no effing flange on the hot plate to fit the pipe to, try taking the wrapping off and turning the hot plate the other way up.

You may find the missing flange was right there all along!



And in case anyone is wondering, no this is NOT ours. We're gonna be building a proper rocket powered one with a heated bench.

But my other half, who is a welder amongst other things, had an easy morning's work and a good laugh...
