I have searched the entire internet (ish) but maybe this is censored and I have to try the dark web. My dogs like to dig up roots, more than the pigs even did, and so I see alfalfa roots that look like a nice juicy treat lying around. My birds wouldn't touch them (spoiled brats, maybe if they had to actually work for a living), but I would think the pigs would have graciously accepted them as edible. I have found nothing that says humans can eat them nor that they are poisonous or anything. I wouldn't want them to root for them but I can see pitchforking out a bunch of roots for them for winter and then letting them seed in and fill in the gaps. Or Smithers, release the hounds, and let them dig up some of the roots. Thoughts, observations? Thanks.
