I currently live in California but will be moving back to Alamance county NC. I'd be interested to know if there are any workshops around.

If there isn't any and I learn how to work cob, who knows, may start my own workshop :p

I'm not 100% but I think this place has cob workshops and is near Charlotte.

Seen a video on Youtube about it:

There is a series of cob workshops going on at the Eno Commons co-housing community, near Durham. The workshops start in March, and are set up with different topics each weekend, covering the building process start-to-finish. In the middle of the series is an intensive, 8-day cob intensive course, for those who have a free week and are serious about wanting to design/build their own cob home. You can check the workshop schedule out at carolinacob.com (but wait a couple days, as it is being updated this weekend).

My name is Greg, and I will be instructing the workshops. I ran the workshop at Pickards Mountain last year to build the gardener's cottage. There are some good photos of it on my friend Danielle's flickr account: http://www.flickr.com/photos/danielleackley/sets/72157618034268068/.

I'm hoping to make the Durham area a hub for cob building/instruction over the next couple years!
