To add a link in your post:

1. In the address bar of your browser, select the entire URL with your mouse or by clicking in the bar and pressing Ctrl+A. Copy it to your clipboard by pressing Ctrl+C or by right-clicking and selecting copy:

2. Go back to your post and click where you want the link, then press the URL button:

3. In the window that appears, paste in the URL with Ctrl+V or by right clicking and selecting paste:

4. Then hit OK:

5. In the next window, enter a description of the link or just paste the URL in again and hit OK:

You have a clicky!

It is a good idea to hit the preview button to make sure everything turned out correctly before hitting submit.

The mobile site looks different from this.

Is there a problem with just pasting links in?

I do have trouble on the mobile site when I try to paste a link in. Instead of going where the cursor is the link will appear at the top of the message and will erase the first letter of the first sentence.

I wonder if anyone else has this problem.

Sorry Matu, I haven't used the mobile version as I have the least smart phone I could find. Hopefully someone else can help you out!

When I post from the mobile view there is no URL button (or any of the other buttons).  Ben, you can click the "mobile view" link at the bottom of the page to see what mobile users see.

Good heavens! What have you done! Here, try to fix it with this tiny ad:
