I'm working on a app for processing  weather that will process weather from https://open-meteo.com/ to calculate things like total average rain fall, chilling hours, days above X temp , average last frost etc.  for a given location(s).  I have some questions.   Should this be a mobile app or web app? or desktop app??!! Would an API you can call be of use to anyone?  How would you  want the data sent back? Text on screen, CSV, JSON,  or  some other format? What would you pay for  this? Or will I have to blast you with ads?

If I were coding into your hypothetical API, what would I get that I couldn't get more directly by using open-meteo's API?

I'm probably missing a piece of your intent, and I haven't looked at what all data they expose, but it seems like all you'd have to offer is a pretty and useful front end.

There is no hypothetical API,  it  currently exists!  But, All open-meteo  does is give the data, I process the data. Open-meteo doesn't have chill hours,  first and last frost dates, average rain fall for June 29th, total yearly / monthly snow  or anything else. They just give the data. process it into something useful.
