OK, for all the full moon geeks out there,  the next four full moons are all going to be "super" moons.  The next on August 19th will also be what some call a "super blue moon".

I hope you had the chance to view the Perseid meteor showers.  I was up at 4 am, but had some cloud cover here.  May be able to view some more tonight!

I live in an area that has `Night Sky Parties` so when I tell folks where I live they promptly tell me they have been here for a Night Sky Party.

City folks don't know what they are missing.

I am not a fan of the full moon because I don't sleep well during those times.  I really don't know why because there is not light coming into the bedroom.

Not only did I get up at 3am the other day to watch some Perseid action, there was also an aurora!

My pops is out in the Nevada desert, camping right now. I bet he is seeing some WILD meteors...

Oh how I miss the dark sky!!!  One day soon, I hope to have a nice viewing area blessed with darkness.
